Swell Soothe partners with inpatient rehabilitation and nursing facilities to provide specialized swelling and lymphedema care when certified lymphedema therapists (CLT) are not available on staff.

This service is intended for:

  • Inpatient rehabilitation hospitals

  • Skilled nursing facilities

  • Acute rehab units

  • Facilities without full-time or consistent CLT coverage

Contracted services may include:

  • Lymphedema and edema management

  • Manual lymphatic drainage

  • Compression bandaging and garment ordering support

  • Patient and caregiver education

  • Staff in-services to ensure carryover of garment schedule

  • Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams

  • Support for continuity of care during admissions, transfers, or coverage gaps.

Engagements can be structured as:

  • Short-term coverage

  • Per-diem support (including site-wide screens of patients with co-morbidities)

  • Ongoing contractual services

  • On-call, virtual support in development of treatment plan

How contracting works

Services are provided by a licensed, insured occupational therapist with specialized training in swelling and lymphedema management, delivered in accordance with facility protocols and professional standards of care.

I bring broad experience in lymphedema care, having worked with Northwell Health, sub-acute rehabilitation and skilled nursing facilities across Manhattan and Brooklyn, and in the home health setting.
